Sunny skies, chances of pop-up storms in the Triad next week

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A comfortable evening is in store for those in the Piedmont Triad with temperatures falling into the low 80s by 7 pm. 

Skies remain mostly clear overnight with Sunday morning temperatures in the mid-60s. Another beautiful day is in store for us, so plan for an afternoon outdoors. Temperatures will reach the mid-80s with mostly sunny skies and a light southeast wind.

Cloud cover begins to increase into Monday with mostly cloudy skies to kick off the work week. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s in the morning with highs reaching the low 80s. There’s a chance for isolated rain/thunderstorms.

A mix of sun and clouds on Tuesday means increasing chances for isolated showers/storms. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s in the morning with highs in the mid-80s. 

Mostly sunny skies return mid-week, but we’ll watch for stray pop-up showers/storms through the remainder of the week. 

Temperatures in the low 70s Wednesday morning with highs reaching the upper 80s. The chance for pop-up showers is 30%. 

Mostly sunny skies Thursday with morning lows in the low 70s and highs reaching the low 90s. The chance for a pop-up shower/storm is 20%. 

Morning temperatures in the low to mid 70s on Friday with highs in the low 90s. The chance for showers is 20%. 

The trend continues into the start of the weekend: mostly sunny skies, 30% chance for a pop-up shower/storm, morning temperatures in the low to mid-70s and highs reaching the low 90s.
