Mild temperatures expected this weekend in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Temperatures continue to warm up slightly through the remainder of the weekend. The gusty winds we’ve seen the last few days are officially behind us which means no more frigid air from the wind making it feel even colder.

We’ll wake up in the mid-30s Sunday morning with afternoon temperatures reaching the 60s and mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures will start off in the upper 30s Monday morning and will reach the mid-60s by Monday afternoon. A mix of sun and clouds is expected with a better chance for clouds late and into Tuesday.

A cold front will push through the state on Tuesday which brings a low chance for showers. Temperatures will remain nice and mild with morning temperatures in the low 50s and highs in the mid-60s.

Following the front, temperatures will return to near normal with morning temperatures in the upper 30s and highs in the mid-50s.

A second front moves through on Thanksgiving day bringing a good chance for rainfall as we’re gathering with family and friends. Temperatures will also remain near normal with morning temperatures in the low 40s and highs in the low to mid 50s.

Lingering showers remain possible into Friday with temperatures even cooler, in the upper 30s in the morning with highs in the low 50s.
