Bayron Arnoldo Ramirez Brizuela, 24, faces several child sex charges.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — WCNC Charlotte has chosen to use this mugshot because of the nature of the charges.
Court records show a Charlotte man who was recently arrested on a slew of child sex charges admitted to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department he tried to have sex with a 14-year-old girl he claimed to be in a three-month relationship with.
Records show 24-year-old Bayron Arnoldo Ramirez Brizuela was arrested Wednesday morning and interviewed by detectives. A review of his arrest sheet revealed more about how the arrest came to be.
Officers were first summoned to the child’s home by her mother on Tuesday. The mother told officers her daughter said Brizuela – who the girl claimed was her boyfriend – had picked her up from a bus stop to skip school and have sex. The mother called the police because she knew Brizuela was 24 years old.
The girl, when interviewed by police, affirmed she and Brizuela engaged in sexual intercourse. Brizuela’s arrest sheet notes he then willingly talked with detectives about the incident and said they also met previously for another sexual encounter.
He is now charged with six counts of indecent liberties with a child, statutory rape, and four counts of committing a statutory sex offense. All of the charges Brizuela faces are felony offenses.
Brizuela is being held in jail with a $200,000. As of publication, a future court date has not been set.
