Randolph County man arrested for sex crimes with child, deputies say

He is being held on a $25,000 bond.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — A Randolph County man was arrested for sex crimes with a child on Wednesday, Nov. 27, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office was alerted to the possible sex offense on Oct. 9 and sought charges against the man.

Deputies arrested Darrin Jewel Nichols, 52, for felony indecent liberties with a child and misdemeanor sexual battery on Wednesday.

He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
