(WGHP) —As you’re hitting the road this morning, you’re going to have a wonderful morning drive.
Into the afternoon commute, however, we’ll probably have some showers and thunderstorms in the Piedmont Triad. Don’t forget your umbrella as you’re heading out the door, even if it doesn’t seem like you’ll need it this morning. This afternoon they’ll really come in handy.
This will be the warmest day of the workweek, but also the wettest one. We have a 50% chance of storms popping up in the heat of the day, but by the time the sun sets, things are going to quiet down and high pressure is going to take over from here.
The cold front continues to move eastward and we’re just going to have nice, dry air pumped into North Carolina for the next week. It’s still going to be a little on the humid side, but by Tuesday and Wednesday, we drop to much more comfortable levels and we’re going to stay like that through the end of the workweek.
Monday’s high is 83 degrees, with morning sunshine and afternoon thunderstorms.
