INDIANAPOLIS — You may have seen him in movies, video games and even television, but have you ever seen him muscle a race car around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway?
Race fans will have the opportunity to watch actor Keanu Reeves make his professional auto racing debut during this weekend’s events leading up to the Indianapolis 8 Hour.
The John Wick actor will not be competing in the main endurance race, but instead will drive the No. 92 Eagles Canyon Racing Toyota GR86 in the GR Cup Series races, according to the entry list. The first GR Cup race is scheduled for 9:50 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 while the second will take place at 11:55 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6.
While this is Reeves’ first professional auto race, he does have prior experience behind the wheel of a race car, having won the celebrity class in the 2009 Toyota Pro/Celebrity race at the Long Beach Street Circuit.
The races will be free to stream on the GR Cup’s website. For Indianapolis 8 Hour ticket information, click here.
