The meeting is to review the proposed development of 86 units at 6425 and 6437 Gordon Road and 1927 Gordon Acres Drive.
Developer Herrington Homes is seeking a rezoning of the properties’ 10.8 acres on behalf of Wrightsville Beach-based River Birch Investments LLC.
The property is currently zoned R-15 (low density residential) while the proposed conditional rezoning would be R-5 (moderate-high residential) to reach a proposed project density of 8 units per acre, the maximum allowed.
There are two site plan options submitted, both showing the homes will be aligned down either side of a street that deposits onto Gordon Road. One option also offers another outlet onto Gordon Acres Drive. Two stormwater ponds are located onsite.
The community meeting will be held on March 18, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ogden Baptist Church, located at 7121 Market St. Those who cannot attend the community meeting, you can send questions and comments to heroncovedevelopment@gmail.com.
