PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A tornado watch is in effect for parts of the Piedmont Triad until 1 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Affected counties include the following:
- Alamance
- Guilford

A tornado watch means that a tornado is possible. Once a watch is issued, you’ll want to make sure you identify your safe place (storm shelter, basement, interior hallway away from winds, etc.). Have a plan in place and be ready to act quickly if a warning is issued.
