CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An alert was shared with UNC Charlotte students Friday night, warning them about a suspect who reportedly threatened someone on campus.
The Niner Alert said the unknown male approached the student in the College of Health and Human Services Building around 7:45 p.m. The suspect then pulled up his shirt to show an apparent weapon and demanded the student’s backpack. The suspect then ran off.
The suspect possibly in his early 20s and was wearing a medical face mask and a red sweatshirt. He was described as a Black male.
University Police are still searching in the area as of 8:40 p.m. Anyone with information should call them at (704) 687-2200.
