Isolated storms possible Sunday in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A back door cold front has been pushing through from north to south today, bringing some scattered strong storm cells during the afternoon. This cold front is expected to stall out along the South Carolina line tomorrow.

Behind that front, another low-pressure line is expected to follow on Sunday, which could bring a few more isolated storms for Sunday afternoon.

After those possible isolated storms move along, we should be in for some sunny, warm, and dry weather for most of the week.

Humidity will be low to start the week, but expect that to change by Thursday, when more humid weather will approach along with another chance for rain next weekend.

The highs on Sunday will be near 78 with a low Sunday night around 53.

Temperatures will gradually warm into the mid to upper 80s by Wednesday.
