Randolph County man arrested for sexual exploitation of minor

The Invictus Task Force received multiple cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — In November 2024, the Invictus Task Force, in collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), initiated an investigation following multiple cyber tips related to online child exploitation.

As a result of their efforts, Brandon Seth Collins was charged with five counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. On Thursday, Dec. 5, Collins was taken into custody and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center.

A magistrate issued a $150,000 secured bond, and his first court appearance is scheduled in Randolph County District Court.

The Invictus Task Force is continuing its investigation into this case. Authorities urge anyone with relevant information to contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office or the Task Force to aid in their efforts.

If you suspect incidents of child exploitation, contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or your local law enforcement agency.
