Gov. Josh Stein signed a proclamation on Friday deeming March as Arts in Our Schools Month.
“The arts are everywhere in our lives, adding depth and dimension to the environment we live in and shaping our experience daily,” states the proclamation.
“Arts Education leads to heightened skills in listening, understanding human experiences, creative problem solving, adapting to and respecting others’ ways of thinking, communicating effectively, analyzing nonverbal communication, reading, self-expression, imagination, and creativity.”
