Grab your umbrella because the Piedmont Triad could see showers Wednesday

(WGHP) — Bring along your umbrella on Wednesday. We could see a few showers during the day.

Mostly cloudy on Wednesday with lows in the upper 40s. Some of our computer models are trying to push our high temperatures into the lower 70s. But with clouds across the Piedmont, we are going with afternoon high temperatures in the middle 60s. Chance of rain 25%.

Mostly cloudy with warmer temperatures on Thursday. Morning lows will be in the lower 60s with highs in the lower 80s. The average high for April 3rd is 67 degrees. Chance of rain 30%.

Summer-like heat, even a little humidity, will cover the Piedmont on Friday. Under mostly cloudy skies, our lows will be in the middle 60s with highs in the upper 80s. The record high for April 4th is 86 degrees.

Summer-like heat and humidity will continue into Saturday. Look for mostly to partly cloudy skies with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the upper 80s. The record high for April 5th is 87 degrees.

Sunday, a slow-moving cold front will bring us a chance for afternoon and evening showers. A thunderstorm is possible as well with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 60%.

The cold front will linger along the Carolina coast on Monday. Cooler air will filter in with lows in the middle 50s and highs in the upper 60s. Our skies will be mostly cloudy. Chance of rain 30%.

Sunny and much cooler on Tuesday with lows in the upper 30s and highs in the lower 60s.
