Cool weather returns on a sunny Tuesday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — It’s going to be a beautiful day!

High pressure to our north is producing a northeast breeze that will keep the humidity low and highs almost 10° below normal.  Skies are forecast to remain mostly sunny through this afternoon, and the UV index is 8 out of 11.

Clouds will begin to creep back into our skies tonight, so we will wake up to partly cloudy conditions tomorrow morning.

Low temperatures may get your attention because they’re expected to dip into the mid-50s!

Wednesday and Thursday, highs will stay in the mid-70s, but clouds are going to continue to increase across the Piedmont.

A cold front is forecast to sweep across the Midwest on Friday and Saturday, kicking rain chances from 25% on Friday to 60% Friday night and Saturday morning.

Highs on both days will be in the upper-70’s to near 80°.

At this point, we may see partly cloudy skies on Saturday afternoon.  We are counting on cooler, drier air to work its way in by Sunday for sure, with partly cloudy skies and highs returning to the mid-70s.

Monday will be stunning and autumnlike, with highs around 77° under mostly sunny skies.
