Concert photos: Mastodon, Coheed and Cambria, Periphery

Tom Dorgan of MoonFrog Media caught the metal sounds of Mastodon, Coheed and Cambria and Periphery at Live Oak Bank Pavilion last week.

WILMINGTON — As concert season continues to bring live music to the area, local photographer Tom Dorgan has been on the scene capturing some of the shows.

Last week included a stop in downtown Wilmington at Live Oak Bank Pavilion, with the progressive rock of Coheed and Cambria, co-headlined with Mastodon; Periphery opened the show.

“I was really excited to see Mastodon,” Dorgan said. “Wilmington doesn’t get the bigger metal tours like this very often. … They ended their set with an epic ‘Blood and Thunder,’ with Randy Blythe from Lamb of God joining on vocals.”
