WILMINGTON — A downtown office is returning to its roots, as Next Glass Inc. has announced the reopening of a sales office for Untappd in town.

Next Glass operates multiple businesses, including Untappd software to connect beer to consumers and Ollie brewery management software. It also launched Untappd for Business, a menu platform for bars and restaurants, used in 15,000 outlets across more than 75 countries.

Around 30 sales team members for Untappd for Business will be housed in the office at 21 S. Front St.; Untappd was there previously from 2016 to 2023. Another brew-tech company, Ohanafy, moved in after, if only for a brief stint.

“Along with many of my current colleagues, I started my own sales career in this office,” said Jessica Seashore, vice president of retail SMB sales at Next Glass. “We will recreate the same great energy and environment I experienced during those incredible in-person days. I am excited to recruit new Wilmington-based talent to my team as we continue to grow Untappd for Business globally.”

The group is hosting a hiring happy hour in early June; anyone interested in attending or joining the Next Glass team should apply at the following link or by visiting nextglass.co/apply by May 30.

Next Glass — founded in 2013 by Kurt Taylor but whose CEO is now Trace Smith — has more than 100 employees around the world. The Wilmington office joins its Charlotte headquarters and a location in Enschede, Netherlands.

“As we look to add salespeople, we have conviction that a physical office affords training and coaching opportunities that are most effective in-person,” Smith said in a release. “Wilmington boasts a deep talent pool and many of our sales leaders are based locally and can train and coach new hires in the office, which is a proven recipe for success.”
