PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Though we’re starting the morning with clouds extending from the northern mountains to the western Triad and farther southeast, this is only temporary. High pressure will dominate the weather today across the entire state, bringing sunny skies for another day. Highs will warm to the mid-70s by afternoon and the UV index is 9 out of 11.
Enjoy clear skies tonight with lows in the mid-50s.
A warming trend will be fully underway starting tomorrow, so get ready for unseasonably warm weather. We will still have mostly sunny skies on Tuesday and most of Wednesday. Highs are going to rise to the lower-80s tomorrow, then mid-80s Wednesday and Thursday. This will be about 10° above normal! Skies become partly cloudy Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front to the west starts its trek toward the East Coast. We are expecting the front to bring a 40% chance of rain on Friday with highs in the mid-80s.
This weekend is going to be cooler and quite pretty! We will have partly cloudy skies on Saturday and sunny skies on Sunday with highs in the mid-70s both days.
