Chance of snow in the Triad on Tuesday morning

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Some parts of the Piedmont could see a touch of snow very early Tuesday morning

Monday will be a chilly, but sunny day with highs in the lower 40s.

A fast-moving upper-air feature will race across the southern Piedmont very early Tuesday morning. As the system zips by, it might be able to produce a few snow flurries or even snow showers. The best time will be after midnight to about 4 am Tuesday morning. 

Davidson, Davie, Montgomery, and Randolph Counties have the best chances of seeing a little snow accumulation. No travel troubles are expected at this time.  Overnight lows will be in the lower 20. Wind chill values or feels like temperatures could be in the teens on Tuesday morning.  During the day Tuesday, it will be sunny and cold with highs around 40 degrees.

Another cold start to the day on Wednesday with lows in the upper teens to lower 20s.  Wednesday afternoon will be sunny with highs in the middle 40s.

Our lows will be around freezing on Thursday morning.  Thursday afternoon will be sunny and breezy with highs in the lower 50s.

Temperatures will drop again on Friday.  Under sunny skies, lows will be in the lower 20s and highs around 40 degrees.  

Saturday, mostly clear to partly sunny with lows in the lower 20s and highs in the middle 40s.  

Sunday is partly sunny with lows in the upper 20s and highs in the lower 50s — chance of precipitation 20%.
