Police said they received a a report of a teacher from Calvary Day School engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem teacher is facing indecent liberties with a student charges Thursday.
Winston-Salem police said that officers responded to the 130 block of South Peace Haven Road in reference to a report of a teacher from Calvary Day School engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student on May 9.
WSPD’s Patrol Division initially responded and then their Criminal Investigations Division (CID), and Special Victims Unit (SVU) assumed investigative responsibility.
SVU continued to investigate and as a result Kevin Edward Campbell, 33, was taken into custody and charged Thursday.
Campbell was charged with two felony counts of Indecent Liberties with a Student.
Campbell appeared before a Magistrate where he received a bond unsecured in the amount of $150,000.
He is set to appear in court Friday.
WFMY News 2 reached out to Calvary Day School to see if Campbell is still an employee.
