CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was killed after an officer was involved in a shooting in west Charlotte.
The shooting happened on Wilkinson Boulevard near Alleghany Street.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department put an alert out about the shooting just after 12 a.m. on Sunday. Medic said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Police did not say what led to the shooting. The victim’s name has not been released.
