The fair remained open even after police arrived on scene.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The police are investigating a shooting that occurred in an area near the Carolina Classic Fair in Winston-Salem on Sunday night.
Dispatch told WFMY News 2 that officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department were called to the fair at 9:57 p.m. The fair is still open, and the dispatcher was unaware of any evacuations.
WFMY News 2 went to the scene Sunday night and was told by officers that the shooting happened outside of the fairgrounds.
There is no information about if anyone was struck by gunfire.
