WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — An investigation by the Winston-Salem Police Department has led to an arrest of an area private school teacher.

Back on May 9, the WSPD responded to a report of a teacher engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student at Calvary Day School. The ensuing investigation was carried out by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID) and Special Victims Unit (SVU).

Based on the investigation’s findings, Kevin Edward Campbell, 33, was taken into custody Thursday and charged with two felony counts of indecent liberties with a student. Campbell received a $150,000 unsecured bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance Friday.
