ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The main roads in the area are mostly clear, but some slick spots remain in parking lots and on secondary roads, according to Rockingham County’s director of emergency management.
Overnight, minor crashes were reported; however, none led to serious injuries. Multiple instances of cars running off the road due to the conditions were also reported.
Powerlines and trees are still coated in a thin layer of ice in many planes.
Drone video filmed by Daniel Crews shows remnants of snow and ice covering patches of grass and the tops of cars and buildings across Rockingham County. Footage of Highway 65 in Wentworth and Freeway Drive in Reidsville is also included.
