Unseasonably cool days ahead with low humidity in the Triad

We have a new weather pattern now, and it’s a winner!  

High pressure is currently planted over the Great Lakes but will work its way southward in the days to come. 

The result in the Carolinas is sunnier skies, lower humidity, and unseasonably cooler air.

For the next three days, highs will be in the mid-to upper-70s under mostly sunny skies. 

Then, on Friday, temperatures will return to the lower-80s. 

We will keep mostly sunny skies in the forecast through Monday of next week, though a steady warm-up is expected over the weekend. 

Highs on Saturday and Sunday are going to return to the mid-80s which is average for this time of year. 

On Monday, highs will pop into the upper-80s.
