WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) — Instead of starting Friday on the campaign trail, former President Donald Trump was in a New York courtroom.
He is pushing to overturn a verdict that found him liable for sexually abusing columnist E. Jean Carroll.
“But she made up a story, fabricated 100%,” Trump said.
Trump is blaming his legal problems on his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris.
“It all goes back to the DOJ and Kamala,” he said.
On the other side of the country, Trump’s running mate Sen. JD Vance is focused on border security.
“It’s Kamala Harris’s failed leadership that doesn’t let these guys to do their job,” Vance said.
In an interview with Univision, Vice President Harris slammed Trump for his comments toward migrants and his immigration policies.
“This person who has talked about how immigrants poison the blood of America,” Harris said.
She also said she understands working people better than Trump.
“I come from a middle-class background. Unlike my opponent who had a rich daddy who helped him start his career and then he went bankrupt multiple times,” Harris said.
The vice president is in the swing state of Pennsylvania preparing for Tuesday’s debate against Trump.
