(WGHP) — A strong cold front will bring in cooler temperatures on Tuesday.
Scattered Monday night showers and thunderstorms will give way to clearing skies overnight.
The strongest storms are expected between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the primary threats being damaging winds (>58 mph), large hail (>1″) and isolated tornadoes.
Look for sunny to partly sunny skies on Tuesday morning with lows in the upper 40s. Tuesday afternoon will be sunny with highs near 70 degrees.
Wednesday, mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 40s and highs in the lower 70s.
Warm air will move into the Piedmont on Thursday. Our skies will be cloudy, but it will still be a very mild day. Morning lows will be in the lower 60s with highs in the lower 80s. Chance of rain 30%.
Well above normal temperatures will continue into Friday with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the upper 80s!! The record high for April 4th is 86 degrees set back in 1934. Our skies will be mostly cloudy.
Mostly to partly sunny on Saturday with more very warm air. Morning temperatures will be in the middle 60s with highs in the middle 80s. The record high for April 5th is 87 degrees set back in 1942.

We will go back to normal April temperatures on Monday. Under partly sunny skies, morning temperatures will be in the lower 50s with highs on Monday afternoon in the mid to upper 60s. Chance of rain 25%.
