WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A suspect has been arrested after an assault at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem on Saturday night.
Following the 20-lap street stock race on Saturday night, Joseph Swain allegedly assaulted another person, according to Winston-Salem police. One person was reportedly injured and taken to a local hospital.
Officers working off-duty assignments at the stadium responded to the assault.
Police obtained a warrant for Swain’s arrest on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. He was given a written promise to appear in court.Â
