PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) ā Another slightly warmer day in the Piedmont Triad with temperatures finally reaching the 40s for the first time since Sunday afternoon! Temperatures fall below freezing after 8 p.m. with skies becoming mostly clear through the evening hours.
Clear skies overnight will allow temperatures to fall into the low 20s Saturday morning. Plenty of sunshine to kick off the weekend with highs in the mid-30s.
Partly cloudy skies on Sunday with morning lows in the mid-20s and afternoon high temperatures reaching the low 50s for only the 5thĀ time this month.
A low-pressure system will move just south of the Triad and if it stays south, our rain chance is very low and right now that’s what looks like will happen. Partly cloudy skies on Monday with morning lows in the upper 20s. Afternoon temperatures reach the low 50s again with a 10% for a stray shower, mainly south.
Sunshine returns Tuesday with morning lows around 32Ā°. Afternoon high temperatures get even warmer thanks to a slightly breezy southwest wind with highs in the mid-50s.Ā
Our warming trend continues into Wednesday with morning temperatures in the mid-30s and afternoon highs reaching the upper 50s. A cold front pushes through into Thursday which drops our temperatures for the end of the week.Ā
Thursday morning will start in the mid-30s with highs reaching the upper 40s in the afternoon. Thanks to the cold front, a low chance for showers is possible on Thursday. The chance for rain is 20%.Ā
Partly cloudy skies on both Thursday and Friday. Friday morning starts off in the upper 20s with highs in the mid-40s.
