PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A few clouds this evening will turn to mostly clear skies overnight tonight. Temperatures remain in the 60s through late Sunday night, but overnight and into early Monday morning temperatures will be cold to start the work week.
We’ll wake up Monday morning with low temperatures in the upper 40s, so you’ll want the jacket to start the day. We’ll warm into the mid-70s by the afternoon with a light southeast wind and sunny skies.
Mostly sunny skies stick around on Tuesday with morning lows in the low 50s and afternoon highs reaching the low 80s. Tuesday will be absolutely beautiful and warm with a light southwest wind.
Our temperatures continue to warm into the middle portion of the week. We’ll start Wednesday in the low 60s and by the afternoon, high temperatures will reach the upper 80s. Skies will be partly cloudy and a stray shower or thunderstorm can’t be ruled out. The chance for rain is 20%, so most will stay dry for mid-week.
Partly cloudy skies stick around on Thursday and so do our warmer temperatures. We’ll wake up in the mid-60s Thursday morning and afternoon highs will reach the mid 80s. Isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible Thursday with a 30% chance of rain.
Friday will be similar to Thursday with morning lows in the mid-60s and highs reaching the mid-80s. Skies will remain partly cloudy and isolated thunderstorms will be possible with a 30% chance for rain. Friday’s isolated storm chance will be accompanied by a cold front which will bring cooler temperatures for the weekend.
We’ll wake up Saturday morning with lows in the upper 50s and by the afternoon high temperatures will be in the mid 70s. Thanks to Friday’s cold front, skies will be clearer, leaving us with mostly sunny skies for the weekend.
