Sunny skies, high of 81 degrees on Monday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — It will be a chilly start this morning, so grab a light jacket as you’re heading out. While we have a few clouds to start the day, it’ll be mostly sunny into the afternoon and high temperatures will reach the low 80s. Get outside and enjoy it! It’ll be a little breezy at times, with southwest wind gusts of up to 25 mph, if possible.

We’ll see clouds roll in overnight Monday into Tuesday morning as a cold front makes its way through the region. A stray shower can’t be ruled out as the front pushes through Tuesday morning but most look to remain dry. The chance for rain is less than 20%. Temperatures start in the upper 50s in the morning and we’ll reach the upper 60s in the afternoon. The sun will come out by the afternoon and winds will be breezy out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

A second cold front will move in behind the first, which will “reinforce” the cooler temperatures. That means Wednesday’s temperatures will be a little cooler than Tuesday’s. We’ll start the day in the low to mid-40s and afternoon highs will reach the mid-60s. The skies will be sunny.

There will be mostly sunny skies on Thursday, with morning lows in the low 40s and highs reaching the upper 60s. We’ll start to warm back up into the weekend.

Skies remain mostly sunny on Friday, with morning lows in the upper 40s and highs reaching the upper 70s.

Temperatures both Saturday and Sunday start in the upper 50s and highs reach the upper 70s and low 80s. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds, with stray showers possible.
