Sunny skies and a high of 41 on Monday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Your holiday week will be mostly dry with very low chances of rain.

Monday will be sunny but cool with highs in the lower 40s.  

A low-pressure system moving along the South and North Carolina coast will spread clouds across the eastern half of the Piedmont tonight. If you are traveling very early on Tuesday morning, you might drive into light rain or light freezing rain in the Raleigh/Durham area. 

In Piedmont, the chances of rain on Tuesday morning are very low. The best chance of rain on Tuesday will be across eastern North Carolina. For Tuesday afternoon in the Piedmont, our skies will become mostly sunny with highs in the lower 50s.

Christmas Day Wednesday, partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 30s and highs in the upper 40s.

Thursday is partly sunny with lows in the lower 30s and highs around 50 degrees.

Friday, mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 30s and highs around 50 degrees.

Saturday, mostly cloudy with lows in the middle 30s and highs in the lower 50s.  Chance of rain 20%.

Sunday is cloudy with scattered showers. Lows on Sunday will be in the lower 40s with highs in the middle 50s. Chance of rain 40%.
