Spring days in the Piedmont Triad will feel like summer days

(WGHP) — Spring days will feel more like summer days.

Thursday morning will be cloudy and mild with lows in the lower 60s. We will see some breaks in the overcast during the day on Thursday. With additional sun and a southwest wind, our highs will climb into the upper 70s to lower 80s. Thursday could be a little muggy as well. Chance of rain 20%.

Summer in spring will continue into Friday. Temperatures on Friday morning will be in the middle 60s. Mostly cloudy to partly sunny skies on Friday afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 80s! A touch of humidity will also be in the air on Friday. Chance of rain 20%. The record high for Friday is 86 degrees.

Saturday will be another very warm day. Under partly sunny skies, lows will be in the middle 60s with highs in the mid to upper 80s. And it could be a little muggy on Saturday too. The record high for Saturday is 87 degrees.

A cold front will crawl across the state on Sunday. Rain, even a few thunderstorms, are likely with lows in the middle 60s and highs in the low to middle 80s. Chance of rain 60%.

On Monday, our cold front will stall across eastern North Carolina. With the front nearby, scattered showers will remain in the forecast with lows in the upper 50s and highs in the upper 60s. Chance of rain 40%.

Cooler air will take over on Tuesday. Under mostly sunny skies, lows will fall into the lower 40s with highs around 60 degrees.

The cool down will continue into Wednesday morning. A frost or light freeze is possible with lows in the low to middle 30s! Sunny skies on Wednesday with highs around 60 degrees.
