(WGHP) — Bitterly cold to start our Tuesday with temperatures in the 10s out the door but feeling like the single digits. We’re reaching the low 20s by 10 a.m. with highs in the upper 20s this afternoon and cloudy skies.Â
A low chance to see some flurries or even light snow showers in the southern and eastern counties of the Piedmont Triad — Randolph, Alamance and Montgomery counties as well as southeastern Davidson and Guilford counties. If we do see snow showers, roads will get slick quickly. However, at most, we could see a dusting of snow between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.Â
Wednesday morning will be even colder with temperatures in the low 10s and feel-like temperatures in the single digits. Skies will be sunny for the middle of the week and afternoon highs remain below freezing in the low 30s.
We start Thursday in the 10s again but the good news is our stretch of below-freezing temperatures ends in the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 30s on Thursday with a mix of sun and clouds.Â
Partly cloudy skies Friday with morning temperatures in the low 20s and afternoon highs reaching the low 40s.
Our temperatures continue to get a little bit warmer into the weekend. We’ll start Saturday in the low 20s with highs in the low to mid-40s and sunny skies.Â
Partly cloudy skies return Sunday with morning lows in the mid-20s. Afternoon highs reach the upper 40s. A stray shower can’t be ruled out Sunday but most look to remain dry right now.Â
Rain chances return to the forecast on Monday with a 40% chance for scattered showers. Skies will be mostly cloudy to start the week with morning lows around 32 degrees and highs in the upper 40s.
