GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — A suspect is dead after trying to break into a Brinks truck in a Food Lion parking lot on Burlington Road on Tuesday morning, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.Â
Our crews spoke to witnesses who said they saw the entire incident. One woman said she heard gunshots and saw a man collapse. She said she was scared and shaken up by what happened.Â
Witnesses said they heard at least five gunshots this morning in the parking lot.Â
Guilford Co. Sheriff’s Office said this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.Â
Brinks declined to comment when asked by WFMY News 2.
