Riverdance coming back to CFCC

WILMINGTON — International dance company Riverdance will perform three live shows next winter.

The fusion of Irish and international dance will take at Wilson Center on Feb. 15, 7:30 p.m., and on Feb. 16, 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. With Grammy Award-winning music, high energy and choreography, “Riverdance” is marking 30 years on a special anniversary tour.

The beloved show features innovative choreography and costumes, state-of-the-art lighting, projection, and motion graphics — and for the first time, it welcomes “The New Generation” of performers. The score was composed by Bill Whelan, and produced by Moya Doherty and directed by John McColgan.

Tickets will go on sale to Wilson Center members at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 7, and to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8.
