CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Mecklenburg County deputies and Charlotte police are involved in an active situation on Wednesday in northeast Charlotte while attempting to serve warrants.
Deputies arrived at a home near the intersection of Reid Park Lane and Reid Oaks Drive around 3 p.m. to serve warrants for communicating threats and simple assault and execute a domestic violence eviction, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police were already on the scene responding to a separate complaint of threats.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area while the situation remains active.
