(WGHP) — Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.
A cold front approaching the Piedmont could produce thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gust, large hail and isolated tornadoes. The storm threat appears to be from 9 pm Tuesday through 7 am Wednesday. Please have a way to get your watches and warnings while you are sleeping.
Wednesday, look for a mix of clouds and sun with highs in the middle 80s. Some additional energy coming behind our cold front could spark an isolated shower or thunderstorm on Wednesday afternoon or early evening. Chance of rain 20%.
Thursday will be a cooler day with highs in the upper 70s. Skies will be mostly sunny, but still an isolated shower is possible. Chance of rain 20%.
