Piedmont Triad could see scattered showers, thunderstorms over Labor Day weekend

(WGHP) — Your Labor Day holiday weekend will include the chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms.  

It will be partly cloudy, warm and muggy on Saturday with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.  With daytime heating, scattered showers and thunderstorms will form. The chance of rain is 30%.

A cold front will bring us a better chance for scattered thunderstorms on Sunday with highs in the upper 80s. The chance of rain is 60%.

The Piedmont will be behind the cold front on Labor Day Monday. Under partly cloudy skies, our highs will be in the lower 80s. The chance of rain is 30%.

Much cooler and less humid air will arrive on Tuesday with highs in the upper 70s.  Look for partly cloudy skies. The chance of rain is 20%.

We’ll see mostly cloudy skies Wednesday and Thursday with lows around 60 degrees and highs in the middle 70s. The chance of rain is 20% to 25%.

On Friday, we’ll see partly cloudy skies with lows in the lower 60s and highs in the upper 70s. The chance of rain is 20%.
