(WGHP) — We’ll remain warm and breezy this evening with temperatures in the upper 70s and low 80s through 8 p.m. Southwest winds will remain a little breezy until the sun sets and then a lighter wind will return for the overnight hours. Clouds will continue to increase this evening into the overnight.
As clouds increase, that means we’ll start Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies. Rain chances also return on Tuesday with the mountains and foothills possibly seeing showers in the early morning while the rest of the Piedmont Triad likely stays dry until mid to late morning. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible through the day Tuesday with the chance of isolated severe storms in the afternoon as a cold front gets closer to the area. Temperatures will start in the low to mid 60s in the morning and reach the mid 70s by the afternoon.
The cold front stalls out over the area which will bring rounds of unsettled weather to the Triad much of the work week. We can think of it almost like a summertime pattern where scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms are possible each day.
On Wednesday, temperatures start out in the low 60s in the morning and reach the mid 70s in the afternoon. Scattered showers will be possible with a 40% chance for rain.
Thursday will be similar with morning lows in the upper 50s and highs in the mid 70s. Showers will remain possible as the front remains stalled out over our area. The chance for rain on Thursday is 50%.
Friday is yet again another day with scattered showers possible. Temperatures will be in the low 60s in the morning and highs in the mid 70s. The chance for rain on Friday is a little higher at 60%.
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Saturday with morning lows in the low 60s and highs reaching the upper 70s. The chance for rain and storms on Saturday is 60%.
