(WGHP) — Rain chances increase through the evening commute with several seeing slow-moving showers and the occasional lightning strike. Rain could be heavy at times. Scattered showers will linger through 9 p.m. with spotty showers possible overnight. Skies will remain cloudy tonight. Temperatures will vary this evening based on who is seeing rainfall but most will be in the 60s by 8 p.m.
We’ll start Friday with mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 60s. Rain chances return on Friday with scattered showers and isolated storms possible. The better chance for rain Friday looks to be during the second half of the day. Afternoon highs reach the mid 70s.
We’ll finally see a cold front move through the area on Saturday which will spark one more chance for showers and storms. Scattered showers and storms will be possible mainly in the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures will start in the low 60s Saturday morning and reach the low 80s before the cold front moves through.
Thanks to Saturday’s front, slightly cooler and drier air moves in for the second half of the weekend. We’ll start Sunday morning in the low 50s with afternoon highs reaching the low 70s. Skies will be mostly sunny with a light northeast wind.
Mostly sunny skies remain on Monday with morning lows in the upper 40s and afternoon highs warming back up, into the mid 70s.
Southwest winds return on Monday which will help increase temperatures into the middle part of the week. Skies will be partly cloudy on Tuesday with morning lows in the mid 50s and highs reaching the low 80s.
Partly cloudy skies remain on Wednesday and temperatures get even warmer. We’ll start the morning in the mid 60s and afternoon highs reach the mid 80s. Isolated showers are possible on Wednesday with a 30% chance for rain. Thursday is nearly a copy and paste forecast with partly cloudy skies, morning lows in the mid 60s, afternoon highs in the mid 80s and a 30% chance for isolated showers. Â
