Person killed in southwest Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is dead after a shooting in southwest Charlotte on Sunday, according to Medic. 

The shooting happened on Caronia Street off Clanton Road around 1:30 p.m.

WCNC Charlotte’s crew on the scene saw multiple police cars outside an apartment building. 

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation.
