PENDER COUNTY — A new head wrestling coach has been hired for Topsail High School.

Jack Darling is a four-time state high school champion wrestler in Massachusetts and a three-time National High School Coaches Association All-American. After an high school, Darling competed as a Division I wrestler in the Atlantic Coast Conference at Virginia Tech University.
“We are extremely excited to see the high level of technical wrestling knowledge that
Coach Jack Darling’s experience as a former 4X State Champion, 3X All-American, and ACC Wrestler at Virginia Tech will provide for our Pirates Wrestling student-athletes!” the district released in a statement.
