The Greensboro Police Department said the crash happened on Friday night on U.S. 220 northbound at the Interstate 40-85 ramp.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Police Department announced Saturday that one person has died as a result of a pedestrian-involved crash on US 220 North near the I40 East on Friday night.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, officers responded to a call of a crash involving a pedestrian. When they arrived, they found Caliph Menalik Byrd, 25, dead in the middle of the road.
According to the GPD, the car that hit Byrd left the scene. The department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is currently at work investigating the incident.
