Over 100 flights canceled at Charlotte airport after winter weather moves through the region

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte area is feeling the weather impacts after winter weather moved through the region Tuesday night into Wednesday. 

As of 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, 154 flights have been canceled at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and 73 flights have been delayed.

Crews are working to keep the runways and planes cleared.

Highs will only be in the low 30s on Wednesday, with winds at 5 to 10 mph, and a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for the Piedmont and the Sandhills until noon on Wednesday.
