GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — The Pitt County softball team defended its home turf by claiming the championship of the Little League World Series Sunday.
The team defeated the Southwest team from Louisiana, 1-0, in the finale of the tournament. The team did not score against the entire tournament and outscored opponents by a combined score of 44-0.
