Mostly clear skies and evening rain chances Friday in the Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A nice and quiet start to our Friday in the Triad with mostly clear skies becoming partly cloudy through the morning.

Temperatures in the upper 60s out the door with afternoon temperatures reaching the mid-80s. Rain chances return as early as this afternoon in the foothills with the Triad seeing increasing rain chances through the evening hours.

Keep an eye on the weather if you have outdoor plans this evening, rain may impact you as you’re out and about. 

We’ll start Saturday off in the low 70s with highs reaching the upper 80s. Partly cloudy skies Saturday with isolated shower and storm chances, mainly in the afternoon. The chance for rain is 30%. 

Isolated showers and storms remain in the forecast on Sunday with a 40% chance for rain. Temperatures will be similar to Saturday with morning lows in the 70s and highs in the upper 80s. 

Our rain chances this weekend are due to a cold front which will bring more comfortable air and slightly cooler temperatures next week. 

We’ll start off in the upper 60s Monday morning with highs in the low to mid-80s. Stray showers remain possible Monday with a 20% chance for rain. 

The effects from our weekend cold front really begin to arrive by Tuesday with low humidity and cooler temperatures. We’ll be in the mid-60s Tuesday morning with highs in the low 80s. 

Low humidity lasts through Thursday. Temperatures will be in the low 60s in the morning both Wednesday and Thursday with highs near 80 degrees both days. The skies will be mostly sunny.
