MONROE, N.C. — Monroe Police are searching for an 18-year-old accused of desecrating a gravestone.Â
The police department received a tip that a group of people were recording themselves destroying graves at Hillcrest Cemetery on Adams Street. Officers went to the cemetery, where they found multiple damaged graves.Â
Officials issued an arrest warrant for 18-year-old Jaykob Marquez Bracey for felony desecrating a gravestone. Since he is a teenager, the Department of Juvenile Justice has been contacted.Â
