The suspect has been taken into custody by Cobb County Police.
COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County man was arrested last week on violent and disturbing allegations of raping an elderly woman right in front of her five-year-old grandchild, according to police.
Authorities said 26-year-old Ahmad Rucker is now charged with:
- Burglary (1st Degree)
- Battery visible harm (x4)
- Aggravated battery of an elder person
- Rape
- Aggravated Sodomy (x2)
- Elder abuse
- False imprisonment
- Cruelty to children (2nd degree)
The victim, who was not named, was taken to a local hospital by ambulance due to her injuries. She told officers that she did not know Rucker and that he “randomly entered the house.”
Officers said they received a call about the incident last Friday, December 13, just after 4 p.m. When they got to the home on Graywood Circle in Mableton, they found Rucker and the victim inside the garage of a home. Police add that Rucker was taken in “without significant incident.”
He is currently being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond, according to authorities.
As for the child, authorities have not provided any updates other than to say she experienced “cruel and excessive mental pain.”
