Breon Feaster, 29, was arrested in under two hours according to deputies thanks to the use of a drone.

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — WCNC Charlotte has chosen to use this mugshot because of the nature of the alleged crime.

A man is accused of shooting and killing his own mother at the home they both lived in.

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 29-year-old Breon Feaster on Friday. Deputies said they were called to the home along Columbia Road just after midnight. They arrived and found Feaster’s mother dead inside the house. Feaster ran from the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.

Deputies said they chased after Feaster, quickly taking him into custody. He’s now charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

The sheriff’s office shared video of the chase and arrest, recorded using a drone. The office said the drone helped them capture Feaster in challenging lighting conditions.

Deputies noted that crime scene agents with the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) worked to process the scene. They also noted Feaster appeared to have used a shotgun to kill his mother.
