CAROLINA BEACH — The Boardwalk at Carolina Beach is amping up for the summer season with its free concert and fireworks kickoff planned for Memorial Day weekend.
Boardwalk Blast consists of 15 concerts, planned at the Boardwalk Gazebo Stage and starting at 6:30 p.m. Following each show will be a free fireworks display over the beach at roughly 9 p.m.
All concerts and fireworks take place Thursday nights throughout the summer, except during the kickoff and closeout weekends, which take place on Friday, May 23 and Aug. 29.
